This scarf is a part of my Natural Collection, but it’s using both, synthetic and natural dyes, and printing leaves using their own dye (tannin), although the leaves are not very noticeable here. 100% natural silk, very lightweight and semi-transparent. This scarf is in autumn season colours, beautifully rich and with a variety of earthy, warm shades. It’s virtually impossible to control exact colours with this technique but I really love the outcome and its natural feel. Think of any autumn browns it’s all there!

All my scarves have hand-rolled edges that I do myself.

Please note that although I do take care to make sure the colours on the photos are as close as possible, they might still vary a bit from what you see on your screen, depending on your device and setting.

Size: 142cm x 45cm

Colours in this scarf
bronze, chestnut, dark brown, rust, tan

Hi, my name is Jana Forsyth, I am a professional artist living in South Devon, UK. My background has always been in art and design. My main passion is oil painting of any subject and I also love making silk scarves. Each one of my scarves is hand made and unique. I use either the hot wax batik technique to hand draw all patterns or botanical printing, using real leaves and the dye they contain (the dye is permanent).
I do take art commissions.
