Perfect for the aspiring chef, the experienced cook, or the enthusiastic outdoor griller!
The salt pig is intentionally left unglazed on the interior so any moisture is absorbed, keeping the salt dry and ready for use which makes it ideal for storing salt, pepper, herbs and spices

Approximate sizing H9-11cm x W10-12cm
Dishwasher safe but will have a longer life if hand washed
All glazes are food safe (lead-free)
Ceramic will get hot when heated or if containing ‘just boiled’ liquids so please be careful when handling
Avoid subjecting to extreme thermal shock. Sudden transfer from hot to cold temperatures and vice versa can cause cracking
There may be some variation due to the nature of handmade pottery

At jstar handmade ceramics you will find a range of wheel thrown one off pottery home wares, all individual and unique, that perfect gift for special occasions and treats for you and your home.

Created on a pottery wheel using stoneware clay, when partially dry (greenware) they are trimmed and my potter’s mark added.  It is at this stage that I create any designs on the clay by carving, slip trailing or adding sculpted pieces.  Once bone dry they are fired at 1000 degrees centigrade in an electric kiln for over 24 hours (bisque). They are then glazed either with brush on or dipping glazes creating a unique design.  The final stage is a second firing at 1200 degrees centigrade to full vitrification. My aim is that you may confidently enjoy all my creations daily.

I take great pride in my craftsmanship and am dedicated to creating high-quality ceramics that are built to last. My items are made from the finest materials and are fired at high temperatures to ensure durability and longevity.
I believe that every home deserves to be adorned with unique and handcrafted items. I take inspiration from nature and the world around me, infusing my creations with a sense of whimsy and wonder.
