Silver and gold Keum Boo pendant.
Solid silver and 23.5k gold pendant.
For this pendant I have used a Korean technique called Keum Boo, Which translates to “attached gold.”
The silver is heated many times to almost melting point, cooled and cleaned. This “depletes” the surface of the silver, leaving a thin layer of fine silver. The gold foil is then applied using heat and pressure, producing a permanent diffusion bond between the two metals.
The silver has then been oxidised to blacken it which makes the beautiful gold detail stand out.
Pendant is 45x10mm and is on a 18″ snake chain.
This comes gift wrapped in Blue Hare Jewellery recycled packaging.
Caring for your Jewellery:
Swimming, perfumes, moisturisers, hairspray and long-term storage can tarnish the silver. Silver that is constantly worn will remain bright. But if tarnishing does occur, use a silver polishing cloth to bring back the shine.
Avoid household cleaning products.
Some pieces are treated to give them an aged patina, this effect will diminish over time. This is natural as the piece is worn and naturally polishes up.

Once you have placed an order with us, you will receive an email confirming receipt of your order where we will ask you to verify that all details of the order are correct. You should notify us immediately of any amendments you wish to make. Please take note of necklace lengths and ring sizes, some can be resized. If for any reason your item is unavailable, we will contact you to offer you a substitute, or refund your payment. The lead time for commissions and bespoke items will differ, depending on the complexity, which will be discussed when the order is requested. A 50% deposit is required at ordering on bespoke items.

If you change your mind about your purchase, please contact us by email email@example.com. Once your email is acknowledged please return the unused goods in there original packaging, to us with the original receipt within 14 days and we will offer you an exchange or full refund. All return postage is paid by the buyer.
Due to health and hygiene reasons we cannot accept the return of earrings, unless faulty.
