Description

Pet portraits in oil on board, which makes it easy to frame. I only use artist quality oil paints that will last and not fade.
My way of painting is combining the traditional with contemporary, to really bring the painting to life. I usually work in a loose and spontaneous style, yet keeping some areas well defined – a winning combination that doesn’t just replicate the photo you already have.
The most popular size is 12″ by 10″ and works well for most portraits.
I can also provide a frame for your painting.

Hi, my name is Jana Forsyth, I am a professional artist living in South Devon, UK. My background has always been in art and design. My main passion is oil painting of any subject and I also love making silk scarves. Each one of my scarves is hand made and unique. I use either the hot wax batik technique to hand draw all patterns or botanical printing, using real leaves and the dye they contain (the dye is permanent).
I do take art commissions.
