We have the exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Volunteer Coordinator to join our organisation. We’re looking for someone who loves what we do and wants to manage the team of dedicated volunteers who keep taking NOT ON AMAZON to the next level.

About the role:

Volunteer Basis - until we're able to secure the funding to support a core team.
Working Hours: as much as you can spare but probably no less than eight hours a week.
Location: WFH or Forest of Dean, GL17.

We have a vacancy for an experienced Volunteer Coordinator who can manage, train and possibly recruit volunteers.
If you can commit to six months initially, to help us establish some new systems, you could be the right person to help us out. This is currently a volunteer role but we hope to apply for funding which would allow this to become a paid position.
This role is likely to be quite intensive in the set-up stage so it will suit someone who likes a challenge, however we do expect it to require less effort once the volunteer management systems are established.

As our Volunteer Coordinator we would like you to be able to:

Deliver the standard briefing to prospective volunteers to ensure they are clear on the aims of the organisation.
Maintain a database of volunteers and their availability.
Organise rota's and provide inductions and training, as well as debrief interviews for departing volunteers.
Play a role in developing formats, and creating content for, volunteer training.
Be aware of the need for appropriate support and training for volunteers.
Update volunteer role descriptions based on the changing needs of NOT ON AMAZON.
Attend essential meetings.
Keep up to date with legislation and policy relating to volunteer staff.

If you have three or more of these skills you could probably handle this role:

Experience as a volunteer coordinator or similar role.
Experience in recruitment and training.
Working knowledge of databases and spreadsheets.
Ability to communicate with a diverse range of people.
Management and team coordination abilities.
Networking and partnership skills.
Ability to work to deadlines.
Knowledge of compliance and legal requirements.
