Mounted on a wooden base approx 12 x 7.5 cn
the heart shaped balloon makes it approx 35 cm at its widest point and approx 45cm in height
The inspiration for my little people came about when my neighbour left some fence post wire out for the scrap man and I decided to see if I could use it to work 3 dimensionally. (Until that point I’d created pictures from old maps, vintage bus tickets, tax discs etc)
My work is a combination of hand and machine stitch and wherever possible I work on my 1930s sewing machine “Pearl” (she’s a singer)
