Handspun plied bulky weight yarn, spun from hand carded batts in a pink and purple wool & silk textured blend.

Description
This is a lovely textured and plied handspun yarn. To create this yarn I carded four different colours of merino wool (purples and dark pinks) with mulberry silk and dyed silk noils. I then spun the resulting mixed batts onto two bobbins and then plied them together.
The yarn is of a fairly even thickness, with a little texture from the different fibres peeking through.
Approx 100g in weight and 70m in length, with 6-7 WPI. The ruler in the photos is an imperial measurement (inches) ruler.
It is soft enough to wear next to the skin and would be lovely incorporated into a hat, cowl or scarf, or any weaving, knitting or crochet project.

Wharfedale Woolworks began in 2010, when I took redundancy from ma dull office job and opened an online shop, originally offering hand-dyed yarns and fibres. After completing a Masters degree and taking on a new job I no longer had time to dye on a regular basis, so took a break for a couple of years. This year, after reducing working hours for a better work-life balance I am now re-opening and offering hand dyed yarns, handspun art yarns, prepared fibres in different formats for spinning and also some luxury hand knits and woven textile wall hangings.
I am autistic and suffer from fibromyalgia and depression. I’m also awaiting assessment for ADHD, so all of my fibre related activities are highly therapeutic and restorative. I take great pride in my work and I value my time, so items are priced to account fairly for this. I hope you gain as much enjoyment from my products as I did from their creation.

Items will usually be shipped within 3 working days - if you need something to be shipped sooner than this please ask before placing an order. Items of a higher value will be shipped tracked and insured and this will be stated in the item listing. All other parcels will be shipped by Royal Mail 1st class unless otherwise stated.
I use only recyclable or biodegradable packaging materials.
Return Policy
I accept returns but please note the following conditions of return:
The buyer can return items but must contact me first. They must return the item within 14 days of delivery. The buyer is responsible for return postage costs and also for any loss in value (as agreed upon with seller) if an item isn’t returned in original condition.
