I love creating people with dogs. I’m most definitely team dog and I think this pup is my new favourite.
Created from a combination of hand and machine stitching, these take days to create.
Mounted on a wooden base approx 20 x 7 cm. Height approx 33cm

The inspiration for my little people came about when my neighbour left some fence post wire out for the scrap man and I decided to see if I could use it to work 3 dimensionally. (Until that point I’d created pictures from old maps, vintage bus tickets, tax discs etc)
My work is a combination of hand and machine stitch and wherever possible I work on my 1930s sewing machine “Pearl” (she’s a singer)
